It may be the contributing factor of explaining why there has been a growing demand of new cars in Indonesia, according to Nielsen's Consumer Insight survey. "Online consumers in Indonesia thought that car ownership is a powerful symbol to show their success," said Executive Directr Consumer Insight, Anil Antony.

Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta introduces heavy fine for people who get caught from buying stuffs from illegal hawkers at Monumen Nasional (Monas) compound. The fine is Rp20 million (US$1750) or two-month jail sentence.

Members of public in Bengkulu Province reported that they had been intimidated by a man who recently failed to become a local lawmaker after the legislative election. He spent lots of money to bribe people to vote him and now wants his money back from them by force.
